Valerie to receive International Award

We are incredibly proud to say that VDC Musical Director, Valerie, is to be this year‘s recipient of the Sweet Adelines International Ann Gooch Award.

Each year, the Award is given to honour an SAI member from outside North America for outstanding contributions to her chorus or region in furthering and developing SAI and the barbershop style.

News of the Award arrived just in time for it to be announced at rehearsal that evening, and everyone was thrilled. Along with the accolade for Val, VDC will receive a very generous contribution to our education fund. Needless to say, the celebration the following week included a delicious cake created by Steff, one of our talented cooks.
