Voted most entertaining chorus in the world!

Vocal Dimension, the Redhill-based women’s a cappella chorus, has scored international hits on two fronts! Back in 2013 they won the small chorus gold medal at the Sweet Adelines UK national contest at The Sage, Gateshead.

They then qualified as one of the five highest scoring choruses worldwide to represent their country at the international contest held in the USA in November 2014. Following eighteen months of feverish fundraising and rigorous rehearsing, 32 members of the chorus flew to the USA on 1st November to present their 15 minute set based on a very British theme – the Ladies’ Finals at Centre Court, Wimbledon. Directed by “umpire” Valerie Taylor and choreographed by Emma Duguid, the chorus had great fun at the Baltimore Convention Centre singing four songs in the guise of a Wimbledon crowd complete with tennis aces, BBC commentators, Prince William and Kate!

They were absolutely thrilled to win second place small chorus in the world and especially proud and delighted to bring home the trophy for the audience’s choice of Most Entertaining Chorus. Vocal Dimension wish to express sincere thanks to all who contributed towards getting them to the USA via various fundraising events.
