Back at St John's Church

It’s been a long road but we are absolutely delighted to be back rehearing in St John’s Church, Redhill.

As the UK entered its first lockdown in March 2020, all forms of live music were put on hold. Vocal Dimension swiftly turned to technology and began running our weekly rehearsals via Zoom. As the weeks turned into months, the easing of restrictions in May 2021 became a very welcome step in the right direction allowing singers to meet outside. In all kinds of weather, using specially designed singer's masks and observing social distancing, we spent the next 10 weeks singing outside. It was far from perfect but at the very least we were together and making music.

However, since restrictions have further lifted, we are now back inside our rehearsal venue, the beautiful St. John the Evangelist Church in Redhill. Sensible precautions are still being observed but the joy of being able to sing indoors has really lifted our spirits. We are very fortunate to have a Covid-secure venue and a well planned and executed safety policy which helps to keep members safe whilst singing together. We are now busy working on new music and relishing the sound and soaring harmonies.
