Vocal Dimension race-for-life to raise £2000 for Cancer Research UK

Members of Vocal Dimension took to the Epsom Downs Race Course on the hottest day of the year and joined four thousand like-minded women in the 'Race for Life'.

Since the chorus established at the beginning of 2010, the members have sung at various local events to help raise money for charity. Being a bunch of fun and lively girls up for a challenge, it was with bundles of enthusiasm that they signed up to help raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

Not satisfied with participating in the 5k race wearing a pair of trainers and a splash of pink, a couple of members decided to dress up for the occasion. Director Valerie Taylor agreed to compete dressed in her Karate Gi and black belt, and Baritone singer Emma Riley joined in the camaraderie dressed as the infamous 'Polly Darton', complete with long blonde wig and stetson! The event was a real success with a fabulous atmosphere.

All the Vocal Dimension members completed the course and between them raised a superb total of £2000.
