A perfect day

We have many talented women in our chorus and on Saturday 27th June we added Celebrant and wedding singers to the list. Morgaine Gaye, a member of Vocal Dimension’s bass section, was the Wedding Celebrant for the marriage of Shelley and Paul on a beautifully sunny day in Leigh on Sea, Essex.

Wedding Singers - A perfect day

Everything was prepared to perfection, even down to the VDC colour theme (they said it was actually Chelsea football team colours but we knew better!!). As a surprise for the bride, her bridesmaids asked Morgaine if the chorus would sing as a flash mob during the service. After the second reading from the bride’s sister we crept into position at the end of the aisle and burst into song with I'm getting Married in the Morning. The bride's face was a picture of total surprise and delight!! The service continued and as Morgaine announced “You may now kiss the bride”, we sang Lean On Me. Shelley, Paul and their guests welcomed us to join the rest of their wonderful day.

Wedding Singers - Shelley, Paul and their guests welcomed us to join the rest of their wonderful day Wedding Singers - Beatles song Something (In the Way He Moves)

We sang the lovely Beatles song Something (In the Way He Moves) just for Shelley and sang songs for the rest of the guests in the wedding marquees through the afternoon. It was a truly beautiful day and an honour to have been a small part of it. We wish Shelley and Paul and long and happy life together. Congratulations from all at Vocal Dimension!
