From Zoom to the outside world

As restrictions have started to be lifted, we have taken the opportunity to move our weekly rehearsals from zoom to the outside world!

From Zoom to the outside world

We are most fortunate to rehearse at the beautiful St. Johns Church in Redhill, and although we are not yet allowed back in the building, we have been able to meet in the grounds of the church and spend a couple of hours, each week, singing together. For any members who are unable to join us in person, we also run a live feed that they can tune into from the comfort of their own home. Rehearing in the open-air, socially distanced and wearing masks, comes with its own challenges but we have fully embraced them all.

We are now very much accustomed to singing in all sorts of weather, from hot to cold and back again! We have had a varying array of disruptions from beautiful birdsong, noisy motorbikes, gardening Scouts to a rather stroppy, heckling crow. Everything is approached with humour, flexibility and an overriding sense of determination. The main thing is we are together, we are singing, seeing our friends and making memories. Hopefully, one day, we will enjoy reminiscing about that time we rehearsed in a graveyard!
